Welcome President Obama
I would like to say welcome Mr. President Obama. No, you were not my choice. However, I believe in the constitution. I believe in democracy. I believe in America.
Moreover, I believe in God. He is the one who allows leaders to rise to power (Daniel 2.21). He is the one who can direct their hearts (Proverbs 21:1). The reason you were elected president is because of him.
I would point out that God granting you this position is not a revelation of his favor, but that is not the purpose of this writing. I have set out to establish that you now have my prayers (1 Tim 2:1-2), my honor (1 Peter 2:17), and my pledge to not speak evil against you (Acts 23:5). Welcome Mr. President. May God help you, and may he help America.

I didn’t recognize you from your photo. I didn’t know you were a Believer (just hadn’t spent time talking yet). I LOVE this post and can’t believe how well it sums up where all of our heads should be as Christians after this election. I appreciate your humility and your application of the Truth.

I couldn’t agree with you more – As one who voted to elect Mr. Obama, although my Georgia vote did not help to put him in the White House, I now call on all Americans and the world to cover this man, his family and all those closest to him in prayer that his life will be spared; that his presidency will be blessed and that under his leadership this country will be restored to its place in the world and will be respected again and that prosperity will return to all. God’s blessing on us all!

President Obama wasn’t my choice either, but I feel he is the right choice.
